Intel's Open VINO Customer Scaling Team applies Intel's technologies to solve our customer's most complex AI use cases across multiple market segments. The Retail and Industrial scaling team is looking for talented students interested in Computer Science and Software Engineering in the Deep Learning (DL) area.

In this position, you will be involved in the development of retail and industrial use cases using Deep Learning pipelines, including optimized pre-processing, model optimization such as quantization, and end-to-end optimizations. You will have an opportunity to explore popular DL frameworks, SOTA algorithms in FL and get knowledge of Intel platforms specifics. The position implies working at least 30 hours per week under a flexible schedule.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

Length of internship: minimum of 3 months


Candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work classes, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.

These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a Master's or PhD degree, or a Bachelor’s degree with three years’ related job experience. Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must be pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or other related engineering program.

Minimum 3+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:

  • Python programming

  • C/C++ programming

  • Knowledge of Math/Statistics

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Deep Learning

  • PyTorch, Tensor Flow, Keras, Intel Open VINO
