The Global Land Transport Systems Activity provides rail signaling solutions for main lines and urban transport, integrated communication and supervision systems, ticketing solutions and associated services.

We are looking for a Product Line Manager to provide business communications with our clients and partners in addition to building Product Roadmaps and Strategies.

From market studies to Product withdrawal, the Product Line Manager will be responsible for launching the product and its maintaining its development throughout the life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantees the Product suitability to the customer's expectations and the company profitability goals: according to return on investment, he/she proposes the R&D allocation that are approved during bid reviews and Development Launch Decision Review

  • Analyses the world market, customer needs and trends, competition (strategy, products, competitiveness) from marketing data and business intelligence

  • Offers the best response to market expectations, strategic directives, technical capabilities and funding capacity by elaborating and maintaining the Product Plan

  • Prepares and presents Products Plans and Decision Reviews and manage the resulting action plan

  • Supports the bid managers in the tender building and in the commercial Gates preparation, validates the tender compliance to Products Policy and identifies the possible gaps

  • Provides analysis for product pricing decisions

  • Works closely with the Product Line Authority and the Project Manager in charge of product development, defines the product requirements specification, participates to progress meetings and certifies the product acceptance

  • Coordinates the development and validates the sales kit and supports the marketing, business development and commercial teams for the Product promotion and marketing activities

  • Controls and measures the Products Policy implementation and effectiveness, in particular the commitments of Product profitability

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Completed a post-secondary degree or diploma program in a related field

  • Has over 8 years of experience in a comparable role

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Be able to build a Product Roadmap and Strategy

  • Have the ability to seek and understand the customer needs and translate them into actionable requirements for product plans

  • Be able to identify trends and opportunities, and propose market responses

  • Have a strong understanding of digital transformation in the industry

  • Be an excellent team player able to work with multi-cultural, global cross functional teams

  • Possess strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives

  • Have strong organizational skills and analytic capabilities

  • Have strong communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Be able to operate in an ambiguous environment and align different interest towards a common goal
