  • We are looking for a strategic, forward-thinking, well organized individual to join our growing team as a Network Engineer. Reporting to the Manager, Technical Engineering Cyber Security and Service Excellence, you will play a key role in defining and executing against strategies that use best-in-class technology and optimized processes to enable organizational growth, achieve better business outcomes and delivering operations at scale.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

  • Integrating and maintaining networking solutions that assist the organization in securing internal and cloud environments
  • Implementing security rules and workflow for incident, problem, and change management automation
  • Working with third party SOC and NOC team as an escalation point for investigations, requests, and troubleshooting
  • Working closely with site teams to deploy technical solutions
  • Working closely with the Site Reliability Team and Site Reliability Operations team to resolve issues as raised
  • Monitoring industry trends as it pertains to the evolving technology landscape
  • Working with key internal partners at all levels to drive awareness and to assist with well-informed risk-based decision making
  • Contributing to the creation of the technology roadmap for Oxford in partnership with key stakeholders and team members and communicating the road map to colleagues
  • Performing gap analyses and working with architecture, and operational staff to develop options to address them with associated costs, benefits, and decision points clearly articulated
  • Contributing to the creation of standards, policies, and other technology guidelines

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • The ability to move between working independently and as part of a highly collaborative team
  • The ability to handle your workload, prioritize, and proactively seek guidance when needed
  • Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
  • Robust understanding of Operational Technology and or IoT devices as they pertain to network infrastructure
  • Experience supporting, designing, building and or implementing large scale enterprise networks
  • Experience with VMware, Hyper-V and or any other virtualization technology
  • Experience with Nutanix, Cisco UCS or another Hyperconverged Infrastructure platform
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and an understanding of IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS delivery models
  • Hands on experience with network management and patching tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with one or more scripting languages (Bash, Powershell, Python, etc.)
  • 2+ years’ experience information security, network security, or cyber security roles
  • 2+ years as a network admin, system admin, site reliability engineer, or similar is strongly preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, business, or another relevant subject area, but candidates with an equivalent level of education and/or experience will be considered
  • The ability to excel in a diverse, inclusive environment in which you have the opportunity to partner closely with colleagues and stakeholders from all across the world
  • Bilingualism in French and English is a strong asset
